Ghana Post is set to begin a nationwide digital address generation and property tagging exercise. The exercise will see volunteers with branded Ghana Post costumes generating digital addresses and tagging properties across the country. A statement issued by the head of Corporate Communications Kobi Hemaa Osisiadan-Bekoe said the exercise is free of charge but the tagging of properties will attract a fee.
The statement read:
The Digital Address system is providing an effective means of addressing every location and property to facilitate the implementation of key government policies and business transactions. Ghana Post therefore encourages citizens who have not yet generated digital address for their homes and offices to do so.
Citizens are encouraged to tag their properties to;
• Enhance visibility and identification
• Enable business and service providers to locate you easily
• Enhance home delivery
